When a reader purchases a publication created with Bookvai's tools, or a PDF/ebook file you upload and sell directly through the Bookvai Marketplace, revenue is split as follows:
This 85/15 split applies only to sales made directly on Bookvai (uploaded PDFs/files sold through your listing, or content created and sold with our tools). It does not apply to sales you make on external platforms (Amazon KDP, Gumroad, Payhip, etc.) that you simply link to from your marketplace listing — those platforms have their own royalty terms.
Payout schedule: earnings from sales are accumulated in your Bookvai balance over a rolling monthly period. At the end of each billing month, the accumulated balance is calculated and paid out to the payment method on file. There is no minimum payout threshold unless stated otherwise on your account page.
Every book, PDF or publication submitted to the Bookvai Marketplace goes through a review and verification step before it is published. This includes checking:
⚠ Listings that cannot be verified, or that are found to misrepresent authorship, may be rejected, suspended or permanently removed — and associated earnings may be withheld pending investigation.
By submitting a book, PDF or any other content to the Bookvai Marketplace, you represent and warrant that:
Bookvai reserves the right to request proof of authorship or rights (e.g. ID matching the author name, publishing agreement, or platform account ownership) at any time, and to remove a listing immediately if such proof cannot be provided.
No warranty
Bookvai provides the marketplace and publishing tools "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee sales, income, rankings, or the accuracy of third-party platform links.
Limitation of liability
Bookvai acts as an intermediary marketplace and technology provider. We are not liable for disputes between authors and buyers, for content submitted by users, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Copyright infringement / takedown
If you believe a listing infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us with details of the work and the infringing listing. Verified infringing content will be removed and repeat offenders' accounts may be suspended.
Changes to these terms
Bookvai may update this commission structure, payout schedule or these terms at any time. Continued use of the marketplace after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
